It's been a movie weekend in the house. Normally I don't watch a lot of movies. I'm the type of person that will fall asleep right at an important part. J can go to the video store every weekend and find something to rent but I usually pass. There hasn't been a really good movie put out recently that I find I absolutely have to watch. But the weather has been really shitty this week and I needed to get out of the house so I went to the video store with J just for shits and giggles. He picked out Resident Evil (the new one) and I picked out Wall E. I also picked up one I had heard about a while ago and had heard some interesting things about called Jesus Camp. I am not a blood and guts watcher so I passed on the RE but managed to stay awake through Wall E. Interesting movie to say the least. If you can get through the first hour of it then you'll be OK. But I did like it. If you stop and think about it it's kind of a self prophecy for our planet and ourselves. As for Jesus Camp, very scary! It's about the massive evangelical movement going on right now and how kids are being brainwashed at a very young age into believing all the crap related to this movement. Then after dinner B wanted to go spend the night over at a friends' house so J and I decided to hit the movie theater. He's been wanting to see Grand Torino so I agreed since we hadn't had a date night in a while. If you get a chance to see this movie DO IT! Clint Eastwood at his finest. I won't give away any of the movie so GO GO GO! Although I know now why we don't go out to the movies very often now. It cost us $10.50 per person and $9.72 for a medium popcorn and drink. Although it's nice to go out with your husband once in a while I would still rather pay $15 and buy the darn movie. I can sit on my couch, pause the DVD, get up and pee, pop popcorn, let the dog out, answer the phone....you get the picture.

I've heard so many good things about Gran Torino. I just may have to take my hubby out on a date night- I'd think that's one movie he'd agree to.
