Great new finds

I'm not a shopper. I can't hang out in Walmart or Target for hours. I get what I need and get out. That being said I do run across some great things that I know I will have to buy over and over again.

I keep seeing these ads for Lee Jeans that "slim you". I have a hard time finding jeans that fit me because I'm a shorty and I have a little extra poundage. So one day I was in Walmart for milk and dog food when I decided to try a pair on just to see how they actually fit. They weren't bad but again, way too long. I decided they weren't for me and started to head to the checkout. Around the corner from the Lee Jeans was a display for Faded Glory Jeans which is the Walmart brand. So, what the heck, I gave a shot and started looking through the sizes. I found my size and surprise, surprise I found them in petite! Back to the dressing room I went and that was all she wrote. These jeans are so comfortable and they actually do make you look slimmer. AND they were $5.00 less that the name brand. If you aren't too picky about name brand and want to save some money these are the jeans for you.

I don't wear lipstick. It dries out my lips and I just don't like the feel of it. The few times I have gone to a high end makeup counter to have my makeup done for a wedding or event I was going to whoever did my makeup would always use brown lipstick on me. OH YUCK ! They would tell me it looked good on me but I hated with a passion and took it off as soon as I got home. When I had my makeup done for my wedding I specifically told them not to use brown. And what did they do? You guessed it. I pitched a big bitch! Imagine in your mind a blond haired, green eyed girl with dark brown lipstick. Oh boy! If I do wear lipstick it's a light pink or clear gloss. I was a Carmex girl. Until it started to crack my lips and make them hurt terribly. Then one day I was in Walgreen's getting some medicine when I found this......

I had heard about Burt's but the price tag scared me and I just kept on walking. But the frustration of not finding a good lip balm convinced me to try it. I'm glad I did. I now have soft lips and the shimmer is just right. And it's all natural which is a big plus.

I have confessed that I am an eye makeup junkie. Anything new I have to try. I have a hard time with mascara because I have pale skimpy lashes and most products clump on me. I ran across this new product a couple of weeks ago.....It's based on your eye color. No clumping and makes my lashes so long. I have had so many compliments on my eyes.
